guest blog monday: meet justin!

As our first male guest blogger, Justin (not his real picture) reveals how men view the world wide web as a useful tool for everything from troubleshooting to killing time.

Justin’s Top 5
1. Break.com: Before Youtube hit it big, I watched videos on Break.com. It’s the same concept, but made for guys, so there are more pranks, like Portopotty Meeting Interrupted Prank, wipeouts and crashes, like Kid Wipes Out On Treadmill, and random, why-would-someone-ever-do-that-and-videotape-it stunts, like Paint Bucket Head Dunk. An online version of MTV’s Scarred, without the repetitive editing.

2. Youtube.com: Although I like Break.com better, I still browse Youtube a lot because it has more videos and shows other stuff like Criss Angel tricks. Plus it’s easier to search for a certain video here if you are looking for something particular.

3. Gm-trucks.com: I use the forums on this informative site all the time to troubleshoot problems, get feedback on modifications, and get ideas for how to make my truck look and perform better. Plus, with group purchasing, you can get some great deals on parts. You can find a site like this for almost any type of car, and they can be very helpful ... even when trying to decide what type of car to purchase, you can check out sites like this to see what problems are common for the car you're interested in.

4. Craigslist: This site has been around forever, but I browse it every chance I get. It’s a great place to find cheap cars, stereo equipment, etc. Pretty much anything I have to buy, I look here first to see if I can get it locally or for a better price.

5. eBay: A classic site, but I still use it to buy, sell or just surf for a good deal. Especially good for buying in bulk, finding something specific that you can’t find in a store, or just checking for a general price. Like Craigslist, I always check here before I buy something in a store.

Remember: If you want to be a guest blogger on Braesan, all you have to do is answer the trivia question correctly, and we'll contact you to give us your top 5.

guest blog monday: sarah's top 5

Meet Sarah, author of the fabulous blog Toddler Drama, where she keeps it real by detailing her parenting adventures with her two-year-old son, Isaac. She's witty and fun and she also happens to be the first of many guest bloggers here on braesan! Sarah correctly guessed our first trivia question: how we came up with our blog title, braesan.

The correct answer was, "Bra"=Brandi, "ES"=Jessica and "AN"=Mandy. A play on the word "brazen" meaning unrestrained and shameless, and we are the bold and shameless web-surfers! Great job, Sarah!!

Remember, readers, there are trivia questions to be answered every week!! You could be our next guest blogger!!

Ok, here goes:

Sarah's Top 5
1: Google Reader is an absolute MUST! It's one of my opening tabs and I leave it open all day. It's the only way I can keep up with all of the blogs I read!

2: Go Fug Yourself: Because really, I feel better about myself when I see how atrocious and horrid some of the "fashion elitists" dress sometimes! It makes me feel like I'm not that weird after all!

3: Here Be Hippogriffs: One of the first blogs I ever started reading. Julia has been through EVERYTHING trying to add to her family. She is an excellent writer and has really opened my eyes to how hard it is for some women. She's finally pregnant with twins! and I am SO excited for her!

4: Amalah.com: Amy is a phenomenal writer and I think her son Noah ranks up there in cuteness level...right below Isaac, hardy har! I love her!

5: Sweet Salty: Kate is one of my newer blogs that I've started reading. I came on the scene just a few days after she had her twins and waited on pins and needles for updates on her boys. I cried when she lost Liam and I gasp when she posts pictures and updates on Ben. She too is an incredible writer and takes the most gorgeous pictures!
